New Pool Start-Up in Walnut Creek

The first weeks after a pool is built, replastered or refilled set the tone for how its surface and equipment hold up. The Pump Master Pool & Spa provides pool start-up service for new and renovated pools in Walnut Creek and nearby East Bay communities.

What start-up includes

We start the pump, filter and other equipment and check that everything runs properly, balance the water chemistry and brush the new surface to remove plaster dust. We keep testing and adjusting the water while the surface cures, and show you how your equipment and controls work.

Why careful start-up matters

New plaster and fresh fill water need close attention. Water that is out of balance during the first weeks can lead to scaling, staining or a rough surface, and those problems are harder to fix later. Consistent testing, brushing and adjustment help protect your investment.

After start-up

Once the pool is up and running, we can continue with weekly full-service maintenance, so the team that started your pool keeps it clean and balanced.

Pool start-up questions

When should pool start-up begin?

Right after the pool is filled. Contact us before filling so we can schedule start-up as soon as the water is in.

Do you start up replastered pools?

Yes. A replastered pool needs the same careful start-up as a new pool.

What happens after start-up?

We can move straight into weekly full-service maintenance, or hand the pool over to you with a walkthrough of the equipment and chemistry.
